Material Handler- iBeam

Alvarado, TX

Responsibilities:
  • Runs, maneuvers, navigates or drives heavy equipment or mechanized equipment in beam area, such as forklifts, cranes/overhead cranes, trucks, etc.
  • Breaks down bundles of beams and loads on holding table.
  • Moves beams to feed into the punch and actuates the punch and moves loaded bundles down the conveyor where needed for punches by hand.
  • Inspects, measures and adjusts punches.
  • Records number of units handled or moved, using daily production sheets or work tickets.
  • Grinds ends of tubes inside and out removing burs made by saws.
  • Operates the robot and maintains the robot operation and area.
  • Uses good judgment, follow instructions and have good problem solving abilities.
  • Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong ability to multi-task.
  • Reads work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments or material or equipment needs.
  • Moves product to and from storage or production areas by hand or using trucks, forklifts, or other equipment.
  • Attaches identifying tags to containers or mark them with identifying information.
  • Inspects all lifting equipment prior to use (forklifts, cranes, monorails, chains, slings, etc.).
  • Follows established housekeeping standards.
  • Informs Lead of any quality concerns and inform Maintenance on any equipment failures or concerns.

Requirements:
  • Must be able to work in an outside manufacturing environment for long shifts, including some weekends.
  • Must be able to perform physical activities that require considerable use of arms and legs and moving entire body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, bending, twisting and handling of materials.
  • Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds.
  • Must have the ability to concentrate on tasks for long periods of time and be able to observe and receive information from all relevant sources.
  • Position requires manual dexterity, arm-hand steadiness and a safety-minded individual.
  • Must be able to work in an open environment exposed to extreme temperatures.
  • Experience using forklifts highly preferred
  • Ability to read, write and speak in English required
  • Must be able to obtain SG Crane/Forklift Certification.
Educational Requirements:

  • Receive, transport and deliver materials, tools and equipment to designated work locations

Welder

Sioux City, IA

Responsibilities:
  • Manually positions pole assembly in pole rollers into proper position for welding.
  • Reads and interprets drawings (including weld symbols) and specifications to determine proper location of attachments, as well as weld size and configuration.
  • Adds, subtracts, multiplies, and divides feet, inches, fractions, and decimals. Uses tables to convert fractions to decimals and decimals to fractions
  • Adjusts welding machines to achieve desired results within parameters of established welding procedures. Frequently pushes pulls and lifts up to 50 pounds.
  • Uses oxy-fuel torch to pre-heat parts to be welded in accordance with published welding codes and specifications
  • Uses GMAC or FCAW welding process to weld small components or assemblies in 1G and 2F positions
  • Wears protective equipment, including safety glasses, insulated welding gloves, leather sleeves and/or cape and welding hood
  • Works in confined areas at various locations on the small pole assembly line as necessary to weld components described above
  • Uses chipping hammer, wire brush, motorized grinders, and motorized wire brush at various times to clean welded areas.
  • Uses pneumatic drills and magnetic drills to drill carious size holes on pole assembly as required by drawings and specifications
  • Visually inspects his/her work to identify material discrepancies and to ensure that welds have been completed satisfactorily in compliance with applicable drawings and specifications.
  • Uses overhead cranes to transport and move material. Overhead crane training will be required.
  • Uses a weld gauge to measure weld size, standard and metric
  • Reads and interprets work orders and daily production schedules.
  • Corrects labor reporting in MES system to ensure operations are complete.
  • Assists fitter in assembling pole assembly when needed. Uses measuring tape, level, square and angle finder to measure distances and angles
  • Uses oxy-fuel cutting torch and plasma-arc torch for cutting steel.
  • Operates assembly line cart system to move tubular shafts into position for cutting on band saw and for fitting. Operates band saw for cutting tubular shafts according to specifications.
  • Maintains a clean work area.

Requirements:
  • Mig welding experience preferred
  • Must have a basic math aptitude.
  • Must be able to determine amperage and voltage settings.
  • Must be able to determine weld size and amount of penetration.
  • Must be able to determine bend radius on arms.
  • Able to accurately use measuring instruments such as tape measure, heat stick-method (material temp.), weld bead gauge and metric gauge
  • Must be able to understand and communicate verbally in English language.
  • Must possess adequate dexterity and stamina to sustain expected production effectively.
  • Knowledge and awareness of the safety issues related to each operation performed within the department.
  • Must be able to stand 100% of scheduled shift. Must be able to use foot pedal to operate equipment.
  • Lifting, pushing, prying, and dragging heavy materials up to 50 pounds.

Contracts Administrator I

Sioux City, IA

Responsibilities:
  • Demonstrates proficiency in product knowledge, its applications and all related job functions.
  • Makes initial contact with the customer upon receipt of an order to establish a dialogue and to determine the points of contact between the customer and Sabre Towers and Poles.
  • Manages multiple customer projects and maintains all schedules for each of the customers' order.
  • Coordinates required schedule requirements between all departments.
  • Assists other departments by coordinating and documenting changes that may be required by the customer.
  • Ensures timely construction schedules by coordinating delivery arrangements with the customer and contractor schedules.
  • Coordinates product deliveries and shipment if necessary. Arranges the shipping requirements and coordinates with the Administrative Assistant for preparation and distribution of the shipping authorization forms.
  • Assists customer and/or contractors in resolving problems that may arise after delivery of the product. Documents each incident completely to assist in the internal investigative process.
  • Aids customer requests and addresses questions or concerns via customer phone call, email or facsimile.
  • Contributes to a safe working environment by being responsible for quality, safety, cleanliness and organization of assigned work area.
  • Contributes to a team effort by effectively communicating and working well with members of the Estimation group as well as other departments and personnel to accomplish assigned tasks and projects as needed.

Requirements:
  • Three years customer service experience desired. Previous clerical experience preferred.
  • Must have a proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.

    Responsibilities:
    • In conjunction with the other payroll staff, performs all payroll related processing for exempt and non-exempt employees.
    • Works with company locations and personnel as required ensuring accurate payroll processing.
    • Reviews payroll for completeness and accuracy. Ensures the computing, withholding or deductions associated with net pay is completed properly.
    • Resolves processing discrepancies.
    • Completes a variety of government reports.
    • Maintains employee payroll records and time card processing/reconciliation.
    • Ensures complete collection of all hours worked data from each location to produce weekly and biweekly payrolls. Reviews and imports time entries from the time clocks or via spreadsheets completed and approved by the appropriate management

    Requirements:
    • 2 years recent payroll processing experience preferred, would consider a recent college graduate (from related field).

      • Position Summary:
        Under the direct supervision of corporate IT supervisory staff, the PC Support Specialist provides Personal Computer, peripheral, and application technical support to internal and external clients.         3D CAD Technician

        Responsibilities:
        • Operate computer-aided drafting (CAD) equipment or conventional drafting station to produce designs, working drawings, charts, forms and records.
        • Coordinate structural, electrical and mechanical designs and determine a method of presentation to graphically represent building plans.
        • Lay out and plan interior room arrangements for buildings using computer-assisted drafting (CAD) equipment and software.
        • Determine procedures and instructions to be followed, according to design specifications and quantity of required materials.
        • Check dimensions of materials to be used.

        Requirements:
        • Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in 3D design, CAD experience, drafting, or a related field.
        • Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, drawings, and models.
        • Knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in the construction or repair of buildings.
        • Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology. This includes applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production of various goods and services.
        • Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry.
        • Knowledge of electronic equipment, and computer hardware and software, including applications such as Autocad 2015 edition or later, and Inventor 2015 edition or later.
        • Must have Knowledge and experience with 3D design and applications.
