Quality Engineer

Responsibilities:
  • Position Summary: The Quality Engineer is responsible for implementing and improving processes that impact key operational metrics related to design team, consult with management to develop and implement sustainable processes, advice and educate personnel on corrective action and continuous improvement techniques.
  • Analyze & understand the current work process for design or drawing of product to find the opportunities for improvement.
    Develop/monitor programs and metrics to evaluate Dept. performance and drive improvement.
    Take the lead on training and building a high performing team
    Audit activities of staff to assess conformance to QA/QC performance.
    Conduct root cause analysis on quality issues and implement corrective action.
    Establish metrics to monitor improved Quality, productivity, efficiency as compared to target goals.
    Implement Six Sigma initiatives which include; Statistical Analysis, FMEA, maintain quality metrics and developing trend data
    Take a lead in implementing short and long term strategies to ensue organization excellence
    Recommend and execute on large/key projects for improvements. Supervise with team or collaborate with managers to re-engineer the current process to improve quality of work.
    Handle in-house training on improving tools and methodologies.
    Lead team meetings, document clear actions and enable timeline achievement.
    Map out all work flows, remove waste and low value activities and recommend solutions.

Requirements:

Robotic Operator

Fort Worth, TX

Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the integration, start-up and debug of plant floor welding equipment, including weld controls, MIG welding robots, resistance spot welding robots and projection welders (fasteners).
  • Provide robot preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and mastering
  • Follow company policies on Health, Safety & Environment and PPE requirements
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement initiatives on all aspect of the job

Racking Specialist / General Labor

Alvarado, TX

Responsibilities:
  • Receive material and prepare it to be galvanized
  • Hang steel products up to 75 lbs. on metal hooks, wire or chains and place on the overhead crane either manually or by use of equipment
  • Remove stencils and grease from steel product prior to it going to the pre-treat area
  • Operates heavy equipment in racking area, such as forklifts and overhead cranes
  • Inspect all lifting equipment prior to use (forklifts, cranes, chains, slings, etc.)
  • Inspect all material before galvanizing to ensure material meets all Sabre safety guidelines and procedures and report any issues, damaged products or shortages to Lead
  • Counts, weighs or measures products to compare identifying information and variety against bills of lading or work orders Move materials to and from storage or production areas by hand or using forklifts or other equipment

Accounting Specialist I

    ?Must be able to accurately identify raw material needed to supply to production.
    ?Uses heavy equipment such as cranes or magnets to move various sizes of steel plates and poles.

Material Handler Shipping (STS Days

Sioux City, IA

Responsibilities:
  • Moves and stacks materials.
  • Performs receiving and pre-ship functions of all types of material. This would include duties such as verifying part numbers and quantities match the bundling sheets or BOLs.
  • Interacts with drivers picking up or delivering product ensuring the proper product is loaded and or received and paperwork is completed with proper documentation and signatures.

  • Responsibilities:
  • Assists machine operators, welders, and other personnel in loading/unloading, transporting raw, in-process, and finished materials throughout the facility.
  • Identifies raw material needed to supply to production.
  • Uses heavy equipment such as overhead cranes to move various sizes of steel material such as plates and poles throughout the facility.
  • Stages all stock and manufactured steel plate, black or galvanized steel pipe to production.

    Responsibilities:
    • Operates CNC machine to produce component parts with minimal defects.
    • Performs daily required maintenance of machine and required trouble shooting skills.
    • Uses common shop mathematics to compute required angles and dimensions.
    • Reads tape measure, angle finder, and other necessary measuring devices.
    • Reads blueprints and flat sheets to lay out work within tolerances to ensure accuracy and to meet required specifications and department quality standards.
    • Adjusts settings on the machine to ensure proper positions meet tolerances and various specifications.
    • Uses overhead bridge cranes to load and unload machine, requiring acceptable levels of eye, hand and foot coordination.
    • Reads and understands labor reporting system, and uses same to report work accomplished, as well as any needed shop or productivity reports.
    • Uses all necessary safety equipment and procedures, to prevent injury to himself/herself or other personnel.

    • Previous manufacturing experience preferred.

    • Required PPE includes safety glasses, steel-toe metatarsal boots and hearing protection worn at all times on the production floor in addition to other specific PPE that must be worn for specific tasks.
    • Production floor environment may include fluctuations in temperature. Abnormal level of noise due to grinding, chipping, hammering requires hearing protection (ear plugs) be worn at all times.

          • Uses the Flux Cored Arc Welding process to tack weld various small components to round or formed shafts to make a pole assembly for the welder to weld. The pole assembly generally consists of a round tube or formed shaft, baseplate, hand hole, arm mounting simplex, tenon top, vangs, step lugs, ladder clips, and/or other small parts.
            Works in Large Pole department on individual fitter station to assemble pole assembly. Assist material handler in loading round tube or formed shaft on individual fitter station.
            Reads and interprets drawings to determine parts needed to assemble pole assembly. Locate and gather Storeroom Personnel staged parts needed for assembly from parts staging area. Frequently pushes, pulls, and lifts up to 50 pounds.
            Reads and interprets drawing to assure proper location of various small part attachments. Layout various locations on round tube or formed shaft based upon interpretation of drawings and specifications.
            Uses measuring tape, level, square, and angle finders to measure distances and angles. Adds, subtracts, multiplies, and divides feet, inches, fractions, and decimals. Uses table to convert fractions to decimals and decimals to fractions.
            Uses plasma torch and oxy-fuel torch to cut steel. Uses jigs made at Sabre/Texas for laying out vang slots and for cutting holes in shafts for inserting hand hole rims, arm mounting simplex, couplings, and other small parts. Wear protective goggles or welding hood to protect eyes from harmful rays.
            Moves around round tube or formed shaft as necessary to get into proper position to accurately measure and assemble components described above including standing on elevated platform when necessitated by the size of the shafts.
            Uses motorized grinders, motorized buffers, stone grinders, and drills to help assemble pole assembly according to prescribed specifications, codes and drawing. Wears protective face shield and safety glasses to protect eyes and face.
            Adjusts welding machine to achieve desired results within parameters of established welding procedures. Changes tips, ceramic cups, and electrodes in plasma torch as needed to achieve desired cutting results.
            Finish weld various products of the unit to keep the product moving through the large pole department in a timely manner. Reads and interprets weld symbols.
            Uses oxy-fuel torch to preheat parts prior to welding. Read codes and specifications to determine proper temperature and uses instruments provided to measure temperature.
            Uses chipping hammer, wire brush, motorized grinder, and motorized wire brush at various times to clean welded areas.
            Uses pneumatic drills and magnetic drills to drill and ream various sizes holes in poles as required by the drawing.

            When called for by the drawings and specifications, must produce full-penetration welds as defined by American Welding Society code. Uses air-arc gouger to remove weld defects, and rewelds to meet specifications.

            Welds other products in other areas, using either Flux-Cored Arc Welding or Gas Metal Arc Welding process.

                Responsibilities:
                • Oversee team members and coordinate production in the welding area.
                • Ability to coordinate production flow in accordance with daily schedule
                • Must be able to operate an overhead crane, perform daily inspections, and utilizes safe practices
                • Ability to communicate in a professional manner with others
                • Ensure quality workmanship from the department
                • Ability to troubleshoot malfunctioning equipment
                • Actively look for methods to improve production
                • Ability to train personnel on current or new Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
                • Ensure all personnel are using the proper personal protective equipment,
                • and utilizing best safety practices
                • Other duties as assigned, directed, requested, or needed.

                Requirements:
                • Good hand/eye coordination. Must pass pre-employment eye exam
                • Must be able to understand basic work, safety and quality requirements
                • Must be able to perform in a fast paced manufacturing environment
                • Basic Math Skills
                • Ability to read a tape measure
                • Must be able to stand at least 2 hours at a time without a break (some specific positions may be performed while sitting)
                • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs

                Welder (mig)

                Sioux City, IA

                Responsibilities:
                • Manually positions pole assembly in pole rollers into proper position for welding.
                • Reads and interprets drawings (including weld symbols) and specifications to determine proper location of attachments, as well as weld size and configuration.
                • Adds, subtracts, multiplies, and divides feet, inches, fractions, and decimals. Uses tables to convert fractions to decimals and decimals to fractions
                • Adjusts welding machines to achieve desired results within parameters of established welding procedures. Frequently pushes pulls and lifts up to 50 pounds.
                • Uses oxy-fuel torch to pre-heat parts to be welded in accordance with published welding codes and specifications
                • Uses GMAC or FCAW welding process to weld small components or assemblies in 1G and 2F positions
                • Wears protective equipment, including safety glasses, insulated welding gloves, leather sleeves and/or cape and welding hood
                • Works in confined areas at various locations on the small pole assembly line as necessary to weld components described above
                • Uses chipping hammer, wire brush, motorized grinders, and motorized wire brush at various times to clean welded areas.
                • Uses pneumatic drills and magnetic drills to drill carious size holes on pole assembly as required by drawings and specifications
                • Visually inspects his/her work to identify material discrepancies and to ensure that welds have been completed satisfactorily in compliance with applicable drawings and specifications.
                • Uses overhead cranes to transport and move material. Overhead crane training will be required.
                • Uses a weld gauge to measure weld size, standard and metric
                • Reads and interprets work orders and daily production schedules.
                • Corrects labor reporting in MES system to ensure operations are complete.
                • Assists fitter in assembling pole assembly when needed. Uses measuring tape, level, square and angle finder to measure distances and angles
                • Uses oxy-fuel cutting torch and plasma-arc torch for cutting steel.
                • Operates assembly line cart system to move tubular shafts into position for cutting on band saw and for fitting. Operates band saw for cutting tubular shafts according to specifications.
                • Maintains a clean work area.

                Requirements:
                • Mig welding experience preferred
                • Skills & Abilities:Basic math aptitude.

                • Must be able to pass standard pre-employment vision test.

                • High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred

                Shift:

                • Monday - Friday, 6 am - 4:45 pm, Overtime and Weekends as needed (Days)
                • Sunday - Thursday, 5 pm - 3:45 am, Overtime and Weekends as needed (Nights)



                Electrical Engineer

                Bossier City, LA

                Responsibilities:
                • Prepare technical drawings, specifications of electrical systems to ensure that installation and operations conform to standards and customer requirements.
                • Operate computer-assisted engineering or design software or equipment to perform engineering tasks.
                • Confer with engineers, customers, or others to discuss existing or potential engineering projects or products.
                • Direct or coordinate manufacturing, construction, installation, maintenance, support, documentation, or testing activities to ensure compliance with specifications, codes, or customer requirements.
                • Design, implement, maintain, or improve electrical instruments, equipment, facilities, components, products, or systems.
                • Prepare specifications for purchases of materials or equipment.
                • Perform detailed calculations to compute and establish manufacturing, construction, or installation standards or specifications.
                • Oversee project production efforts to assure projects are completed on time and within budget.
                • Plan or implement research methodology or procedures to apply principles of electrical theory to engineering projects.
                • Responsible for providing design construction and integration of pre-fabricated buildings, cabinets and skids for the telecommunications, solar and utility power industries.
                • Responsible for the design of large scale solar power conversion stations and utility interactive battery energy storage systems from initial design to final installation.

                Requirements:
                • 3-5 years of practical Engineering experience.
                • Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology. This includes applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production of various goods and services
                • Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principals involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
                • Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, statistics, and their applications.
                • Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
                • Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote effective local, state, or national security operations for the protection of people, data, property, and institutions.
                • Background and or highly interested in solar grid tie systems, battery storage systems, telecommunications, power substations and/or renewable energy.
                • Must work well in a group, or team environment.
                Educational Requirements:
                • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, or related field of study
                • Lean Certification a plus
                • Working toward Professional Engineer certification

                Shift:

                • Monday - Friday, 8 am - 5 pm, Overtime and Weekends as needed



                Production Supervisor - Shelter Plant

                Bossier City, LA

                Responsibilities:
                • Gives daily work assignments to personnel within the Shelter plant. Makes decisions regarding work priorities based on published schedules and conversations with department manager, taking into account his/her knowledge of assigned personnel, individual skills, and existing personnel vacancies.
                • Continuously monitors progress on daily work schedules to assure that satisfactory progress is being made.
                • Maintains staff by recruiting, selecting, hiring, orienting, and training employees; developing personal growth opportunities.
                • Completes production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel; accomplishing work results; establishing priorities; monitoring progress; revising schedules; resolving problems; reporting results of the processing flow on shift production summaries.
                • Ensures operation of equipment by calling for repairs; evaluating new equipment and techniques.
                • Provides manufacturing information by compiling, initiating, sorting, and analyzing production performance records and data; answering questions and responding to requests.
                • Resolves personnel problems.
                • Maintains professional and technical knowledge.
                • Maintains safe and clean work environment

                Requirements:
                • Excellent spoken and written communication skills
                • Interpretation and understanding of structural blue prints
                • Good organizational skills and a methodical approach to work
                • Ability to prioritize workloads and meet project deadlines
                • Ability to pay close attention to detail
                Educational Requirements:
                • High school diploma, or equivalent
                • 5S and Lean Manufacturing training a plus

                Shift:

                • Must be able to night shift and weekends
